About the funder
The Albert & Edda Darboven Foundation is committed to promoting education, public and vocational training, youth and elderly care, as well as gender equality between women and men. Furthermore, it supports horse breeding and equestrian sports. The selection of projects is made personally by the founders Albert and Edda Darboven and is based on social relevance as well as personal passion. Currently, the foundation funds innovations by female entrepreneurs, educational and research projects (especially in the field of coffee management), training and further education measures for children and young people, scholarships for research achievements, the preservation of thoroughbred breeding, the promotion of equestrian sports, and the support of needy jockeys.

As a private foundation, we aim to consolidate sustainable social commitment and deploy it effectively. Our goal is to promote talents in education and research, strengthen equal opportunities, and support cultural as well as social projects. We believe in the power of individual passion and its potential to create positive impulses for the community.
Target groups
Our funding programs are aimed at female founders and entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas; children and young people in vocational training and further education; students and researchers, particularly in the field of coffee management; disadvantaged elderly people and needy jockeys in equestrian sports; institutions and initiatives committed to equality as well as youth and elderly care; and equine breeding and riding sport projects.
