Albrecht-Graf-von-Goertz-Stiftung
About the funder
The Albrecht Graf von Goertz Foundation is a legally recognized, church-affiliated foundation under the supervision of the Protestant Regional Church and the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior. It combines two independent asset sectors: a church portion to support elderly and needy parishioners as well as to promote church services for seniors, and a municipal portion for senior care and the promotion of community-oriented projects in Brunkensen. The foundation fosters civic engagement by stepping in where church, state, or municipality can no longer provide assistance. Proceeds from endowments and donations are either added to the foundation’s capital for long-term income growth or used directly for designated support services.

Mission & Vision
We aim to do good together for the benefit of the people in our community. The foundation sees itself as a platform for civic engagement, working in an unbureaucratic and targeted manner to solve local problems. It believes in the strength of a community that implements sustainable projects through financial resources and volunteer work, particularly in favor of the older generation and the common good.
Target groups
The funding measures are primarily aimed at elderly and needy citizens of the village of Brunkensen as well as church groups that offer senior citizen services. In addition, the foundation supports non-profit projects that strengthen the local community welfare and maintain the historic village appearance as well as church buildings.
