About the funder

The Alfred Koerppen Foundation was established in 2002 by Prof. Alfred Koerppen and Prof. Barbara Koerppen. It is dedicated to the promotion of musical art, particularly "serious" contemporary music (art music). The foundation supports young composers, musicians, and ensembles, promotes projects in the field of new music as well as performances and recordings, in order to disseminate the compositional work of Alfred Koerppen. It operates selflessly and for the public benefit, financing its activities exclusively through endowments and donations.

Mission & Vision

The Alfred Koerppen Foundation is committed to promoting New Music and keeping the oeuvre of Alfred Koerppen alive. Our goal is to enable the creation, performance, publication, and dissemination of contemporary electronic music through financial support for composers, musicians, ensembles, and projects.
