The Alice and Hans Joachim Thormählen Foundation is a non-profit private foundation based in Ratingen. Mission & Vision
The foundation is committed to inspiring young people in the natural sciences, culture, and sports activities, and to creating optimal learning and development conditions for them. Through cooperation with schools, municipalities, and educational institutions, it supports sustainable and forward-looking projects that promote independent, project-based learning and nurture talents at an early stage.
Target groups
Priority is given to funding educational institutions such as grammar schools, comprehensive schools, and vocational colleges in the Ratingen/Heiligenhaus region, as well as their students or scholarship recipients. The foundation targets teachers and institutions seeking to implement innovative learning concepts, as well as students with outstanding academic and social qualifications within the framework of the NRW scholarship program.
