Mission & Vision
The Main Department of Regional Planning aims to promote a sustainable, livable, and economically attractive development of Burgenland. Through forward-looking spatial planning and professional consultation, nature conservation, infrastructure, and social concerns are harmonized. Participatory processes, transparency, and scientific foundations form the basis for a balanced overall design of the regional area.
Target groups
The services of the main department are primarily aimed at Burgenland municipalities, municipal associations, and planning authorities that intend to create or amend land use and development plans. In addition, specialist offices, environmental organizations, municipal project coordinators, as well as interested citizens benefit from information, approval procedures, and public consultations within the framework of spatial planning.
