The Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 11 – Social Affairs, Housing, and Labor Market, as part of the Carinthian state administration, is responsible for the design and implementation of social measures, housing policy initiatives, and labor market strategies. In close cooperation with the Carinthian Public Employment Service (AMS Carinthia), social partners, and other state departments, Department 11 develops and coordinates programs such as the "Labor Market Strategy 2021+ for Carinthia" and the Territorial Employment Pact (TEP) to ensure employment promotion, qualification, and social participation within the state.

Our mission is to promote social justice, affordable housing, and a efficient, inclusive labor market in Carinthia. Through collaborative cooperation with AMS Carinthia, social partners, and regional stakeholders, we focus on digital innovation, lifelong learning, and tailored qualification programs to open up opportunities for all Carinthians – especially disadvantaged groups – and to sustainably strengthen the labor market.

Our funding programs are specifically aimed at job seekers of all age groups – from youth and young adults to older unemployed individuals – as well as women experiencing unemployment and disadvantaged persons for social and professional reintegration. Additionally, we support employers and companies in Carinthia in securing their skilled labor needs, as well as regional initiatives in social housing and labor market integration.
