As the public memory of the State of Lower Austria, we ensure the preservation and accessibility of historical records. With high professional expertise and a service-oriented approach, we offer administrations, municipalities, academia, and citizens contemporary archives and libraries as places for research, education, and cultural networking.
Target groups
Our services are aimed at a broad audience: historians, students and researchers from all disciplines, administration and municipalities, teachers, as well as interested laypersons. We support municipal archives and schools and promote scientific projects to sustainably explore and make accessible the cultural heritage of Lower Austria.
