The Health Department of the Directorate for Social Affairs and Health within the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government is responsible for the planning, management, and supervision of various sanitary and food law-related tasks in Upper Austria. Its core responsibilities include sanitary services, the application of federal and state health laws, as well as inspection and advisory services in the veterinary and food sectors. It works closely with municipal health authorities, hospitals, and other specialized agencies to ensure effective health prevention and safety for the population.
