Department 9 of the Styrian Provincial Government Office is the central contact point for cultural affairs, European policy, and external relations in the state of Styria. It develops and implements cultural policy measures, coordinates international cultural partnerships, and provides advice on EU funding programs. Additionally, it organizes events, calls for proposals, and submission deadlines for art and cultural projects, as well as special service offerings such as the EU advisory center.

Our goal is to strengthen and sustainably further develop the Styrian cultural landscape. We promote cross-border exchange, support cultural practitioners in acquiring European funding, and create the framework conditions for innovative projects. Through international networking and targeted advice, we contribute to ensuring that art and culture in Styria remain visible, diverse, and forward-looking.

Our funding and advisory services are aimed at artists, cultural institutions, associations, and project teams based in Styria who wish to implement national and international cultural cooperations or apply for EU funding. We support individuals as well as groups undertaking innovative and cross-border projects in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, music, literature, monument preservation, and interdisciplinary areas.
