Amt der Vorarlberger Landesregierung, Abt. IIa - Elementarpädagogik, Schule und Gesellschaft

The Amt of the Vorarlberg State Government, Department IIa – Early Childhood Education, School and Society is a specialized department within the Directorate of Education and Culture. It is responsible for the professional management and promotion of child education and care facilities, as well as the integration of early childhood education, school, and social participation. The department develops guidelines, implements funding programs, and supports providers in the development of needs-based services for children up to 14 years of age.

Department IIa is committed to providing high-quality educational and care services for children and promoting close collaboration between early childhood education, schools, and social partners. Its goal is to create framework conditions that holistically strengthen children's development and foster partnership-based cooperation among all stakeholders – from providers and professionals to parents.

The funding and advisory services are aimed at operators and sponsors of early childhood education and care facilities (such as kindergartens, nurseries, after-school care), public and private school authorities, municipalities, as well as professionals working in early childhood education and the school sector. The goal is to further develop services, strengthen networks, and provide all children with the best possible educational opportunities regardless of their social background.
