About the funder
The Forestry Department (Vc) is a specialized division within the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government. It is responsible for the sustainable management and protection of forests in Vorarlberg. This includes the coordination and supervision of forestry authorities and offices, the preservation and maintenance of protective forests against natural hazards such as rockfall, avalanches, and erosion, the administration and allocation of funding through the Vorarlberg Forest Fund, as well as the implementation of forestry-related environmental and nature conservation measures.

Mission & Vision
The Department of Forestry (Vc) is committed to sustainable, ecological, and economic forest management in Vorarlberg. It promotes the protective and utilitarian functions of the forest, ensures precautionary measures against natural hazards, and supports forest owners in the care and development of vital forest ecosystems.
