About the funder

The Amt für regionale Landesentwicklung Lüneburg (ArL Lüneburg) is a state authority headquartered in Lüneburg, with branch offices in Bremerhaven, Verden, and Stade. Established in 2014 from parts of the former Lüneburg District Government and the State Office for Geoinformation and Land Development, the ArL serves as the central contact point for eleven districts between Hamburg, Bremen, and Hanover. It coordinates and manages funding from the EU, the federal government, and the state of Lower Saxony for projects in the areas of village and urban development promotion, land consolidation and land management, spatial planning, water management, hydrogen economy, as well as advising on and approving foundations. Through close networking with municipalities, ministries, and other partners, the authority promotes tailored and sustainable development of rural and urban areas and contributes to the long-term strengthening of quality of life and business location in the region.
