About the funder
The Anneliese Pohl Foundation was established at the end of 2009 by Prof. Dr. jur. Dr. h.c. mult. Reinfried Pohl as a legal foundation under civil law, headquartered in Marburg. The purpose of the foundation is to support and accompany individuals affected by cancer as well as their relatives. To this end, it particularly funds the Anneliese Pohl Psychosocial Cancer Counseling Center in Marburg, offers neutral medical second opinion consultations, and additionally supports medical research in the fight against cancer. Furthermore, the foundation finances practice-oriented funding programs such as habilitation support for early-career female scientists.
