Mission & Vision
Hesse Development Cooperation is committed to sustainable development and global justice by promoting development policy projects in accordance with the United Nations guidelines and supporting both partnerships in the Global South and educational and awareness-raising initiatives in Hesse. Its goal is to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged population groups through targeted grants and to create broad awareness of global interconnections and sustainable development goals.
Target groups
Funding is provided for international projects in countries on the OECD-DAC list, primarily in Least Developed Countries, which focus on particularly vulnerable groups and pursue innovative, multiplier-effective approaches. Additionally, the funding targets civil society organizations and educational institutions in Hesse whose domestic projects enhance understanding of living conditions in the Global South and specifically reach children, adolescents, and young adults.
