Anstoß zum Leben Stiftung

The Anstoß zum Leben Foundation was established in 2009 by Manfred and Dagmar Utsch in Siegen. Inspired by the unifying power of sports, it supports athletic, integrative, and educational projects that particularly empower children and youth in the Siegerland region. With its own TeamSportPark, the foundation creates spaces for encounter and movement: an open-air hall, artificial turf fields, athletics facilities, and multifunctional rooms serve as platforms for diversity, inclusion, and social participation. The non-profit foundation is committed to youth and elderly welfare, integration, education, and inclusion in accordance with §§ 52 and 53 of the German Tax Code (AO).

Our vision is a life-affirming community in which everyone – regardless of background, social status, or physical conditions – can realize their full potential through sports and education. We promote team spirit, social skills, and equal opportunities, connect generations and cultures, and are committed to using movement as a key to integration, inclusion, and personal development.

The funding programs are primarily aimed at children and adolescents in the Siegerland region, as well as people of all ages and backgrounds who benefit from sports and integration projects. We address students, young people with migration or disability status, volunteers, and educational institutions who wish to strengthen social skills and facilitate encounters together in an inclusive environment.
