About the funder
The ARNDT Foundation is a non-profit, privately funded foundation based in Berlin. It was founded by art expert Matthias Arndt and continues the philanthropic tradition of BERLIN MASTERS. The foundation organizes annual exhibitions as well as an open selection process ("Open Call") for visual artists, primarily in the fields of photography, video, and new media. From the exhibition, it awards two art prizes, each endowed with €10,000 (TOY Berlin Masters Award), as well as a residency grant (Schliemann Residency), and additionally supports emerging Berlin artists in their entry into the professional art world.

Mission & Vision
The mission of the ARNDT Foundation is to support emerging Berlin-based artists, increase their visibility within the professional art world, and create a platform for dialogue with curators, gallery owners, and collectors. The foundation is committed to diversity and inclusive practices and aims to sustainably support talents under the age of 33 through exhibitions, awards, and residencies.
Target groups
The funding programs of the ARNDT Foundation are aimed at visual artists residing in Berlin who are no older than 33 years at the time of their application. Support is provided to emerging talents and experimenters, particularly in the fields of photography, video, new media, and interdisciplinary media art, who seek to position themselves in the contemporary art scene with innovative approaches and a high level of artistic ambition.
