Aufsichts- und Dienstleistungsdirektion (ADD)

The Supervisory and Service Directorate Rhineland-Palatinate (ADD) is a state-owned authority and serves as the central service and supervisory body for municipal and school matters in Rhineland-Palatinate. In its areas of focus, "Municipal Affairs and Security" as well as "School and Education," it consolidates funding programs in the municipal sector (including monument protection, village renewal, sports facility funding) and assumes responsibilities for school supervision, teacher recruitment, and support for educators, students, and parents. As a higher-level authority, the ADD also coordinates cross-cutting issues such as infrastructure funding, integration measures, and quality assurance in schools.

The ADD is committed to sustainably strengthening the development and performance of municipal authorities as well as the quality of education in Rhineland-Palatinate. Its goal is to be a reliable partner for municipalities, schools, and citizens through transparent supervision, efficient administrative and funding processes, and qualified consultation.

The funding and service offerings of the ADD are aimed at municipalities (towns and districts) in Rhineland-Palatinate applying for grants for infrastructure and development measures, at schools and educational institutions including teachers, educational professionals, students, and parents, as well as at other public bodies and stakeholders who utilize municipal and school funding programs or wish to benefit from the services of the state authority.
