About the funder
The Bad Harzburg Foundation is a legally capable community foundation based in Bad Harzburg, recognized by the Braunschweig District Government. As an independent non-profit foundation, it supports local projects and initiatives in the fields of health and charitable work, education and upbringing, art, culture and monument preservation, elderly care, youth and sports, environmental and nature conservation, as well as local heritage and town beautification. Funding is provided through endowments and donations from citizens and companies; from their proceeds and separate funds, numerous measures are implemented annually. Long-standing projects include, among others, the "Children into Sports Clubs" campaign, the expansion of the Harz Legends Hall on the Burgberg, the Christmas nativity scene in the Rosengarten, the restoration of the Radau Waterfall, and the Herbert Ahrens Photo Archive.

Mission & Vision
We aim to be instigators – motivating committed citizens and local stakeholders in Bad Harzburg to take responsibility for the common good. By soliciting and managing endowments and donations, we create financial foundations to initiate innovative, sustainable, and charitable projects locally that improve the quality of life for all generations.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Bad Harzburg Foundation are aimed at all people living in Bad Harzburg as well as local clubs, institutions, and initiatives. Special support is given to children, adolescents, and disadvantaged families, cultural workers, environmental and monument protection projects, seniors and people with special needs, as well as non-profit organizations that operate in accordance with the foundation's objectives.
