About the funder

In 1994, the Barbara-Schadeberg Foundation was established from the private assets of the entrepreneur Barbara Lambrecht-Schadeberg (Kreuztal-Krombach) with its headquarters in Siegen, under the foundation law of the Protestant Church of Westphalia as a legally capable Protestant foundation under civil law. In accordance with its statutes, the foundation supports Protestant schools, boarding schools, teacher training, and scientific projects. Its funds are used for the establishment and maintenance of general and vocational schools, teacher training, research projects, as well as the equipment of Protestant educational institutions.

Mission & Vision

The Barbara Schadeberg Foundation is committed to promoting education and upbringing based on the Gospel. Its goal is to strengthen Protestant schools and boarding schools, support teachers in further training and research, and accompany projects that enhance the Protestant profile and the networking of Protestant educational institutions.

Target groups

Proposals are supported from Protestant schools (general and vocational as well as special education schools), boarding schools, teaching staff, and academic institutions in Germany and Europe. Target groups include school administrations, teachers, religious educators, researchers, and sponsors of Protestant educational institutions who wish to implement digital, pedagogical, or infrastructural projects in accordance with the foundation's statutory purpose.
