Mission & Vision
The LGL is committed to sustainably strengthening medical care in rural areas of Bavaria. Through targeted scholarship funding, Department K1 supports dedicated medical students in continuing their studies as planned and in establishing themselves long-term as physicians in underserved regions of Bavaria. The program ensures transparency, reliability, and a cooperative support system for the beneficiaries.
Target groups
The target group of the scholarship program consists of medical students at recognized universities who commit to working for at least five years in the rural support area in Bavaria after completing their studies and specialist medical training. Funding is provided to students who have not obtained a study place through the rural doctor quota or the public health service quota and who are applying for a scholarship under the Medical Scholarship Guidelines (MedStipR) for the first time.
