The Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and for Homeland (STMFiH) is a supreme state authority of the Free State of Bavaria, headquartered in Munich. It is responsible for the state budget, tax administration, municipal financial equalization, as well as structural and homeland policy in Bavaria. Key tasks include the planning and preparation of the budget plan, granting subsidies to cities and municipalities (e.g., municipal financial equalization, building promotion), the development and implementation of the homeland strategy ("Offensive.Homeland.Bavaria 2025"), and the promotion of equivalent living conditions in urban and rural areas. The ministry manages cultural, sports, monument preservation, and homeland care projects through specialized programs, promotes digital infrastructure, and supports initiatives in rural areas.
