About the funder
The Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy is the highest state ministry of the Free State of Bavaria. It is responsible for Bavarian economic policy, spatial regional development, and energy policy. Its tasks include promoting business start-ups, technological innovations, and sustainable energy projects. Through various funding programs – ranging from energy and technology promotion to regional development – it supports small and medium-sized enterprises, research institutions, and municipalities in making investments, securing employment, and actively shaping structural change in Bavaria.

Our mission is to make Bavaria's economic location future-proof. Target groups
The Ministry's funding programs are aimed at companies of all sizes, particularly technology-oriented startups and innovative SMEs, research institutions, as well as municipalities in Bavaria. The objective is to support projects in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energies, technological innovation, and regional economic development. Special consideration is given to initiatives that contribute to strengthening rural areas and implementing a sustainable and climate-neutral economic structure.
