About the funder
The BayWa Foundation is a legally recognized public foundation under civil law based in Munich. It was established in 1998 by BayWa AG. The foundation is committed to the areas of nutrition, energy, and environmental protection, and supports people in need. Since its inception, the BayWa Foundation has successfully implemented around 100 projects in 12 countries. The projects range from environmental and nutrition education for primary school children to the promotion of agricultural self-help projects in Africa. A distinctive feature of the foundation is that BayWa AG covers all administrative costs, ensuring that 100 percent of donations go directly to the projects.
