About the funder

The BDKJ Foundation in the Diocese of Augsburg was established in 2007 to provide long-term support, independent of public funds, for children, youth, and young adults involved in Catholic youth work. It supports projects and events organized by Catholic youth associations, parishes, and other church organizations, providing its own steadily growing endowment for this purpose. As of April 2021, 53 projects have already been funded with a total of €18,659.93.

Mission & Vision

The BDKJ Foundation in the Diocese of Augsburg is committed to the future of our society by enabling young people in Catholic youth work to realize their potential and develop freely. It aims to counteract declining subsidies and creates a crisis-proof, ethically responsible source of funding, where every euro is invested directly in educational and youth projects.

Target groups

Projects and events initiated by Catholic youth associations, parishes, and other church organizations are supported. The foundation is aimed at volunteers and professionals engaged in youth work, as well as children, adolescents, and young adults who are to be strengthened in their personal, social, and spiritual development through supported measures.
