About the funder
The Authority for Economy, Labor, and Innovation (BWAI) is the central Hamburg administrative body responsible for shaping and promoting economic development, labor market policy, and innovation strategies. It coordinates municipal economic promotion, supports companies and start-ups, oversees digital transformation projects, and develops initiatives in the field of social entrepreneurship. As an interface between politics, administration, and business, the BWAI implements measures to sustainably and future-proof the economic location of Hamburg.

Mission & Vision
The Authority for Economy, Labor, and Innovation (BWAI) is tasked with promoting Hamburg's economic growth, employment development, and innovative capacity. Our goal is to create framework conditions in which companies can operate successfully, skilled professionals can thrive, and both digital and social innovations are supported.
Target groups
