About the funder

The Bezirksregierung Münster is a state intermediate authority (state intermediate authority according to § 7 para. 2 LOG NRW) based in Münster. It is one of five district governments in North Rhine-Westphalia and consolidates the main areas of responsibility of almost all state ministries. Its work is divided into seven thematic areas: occupational safety, order and security; construction, planning and transport; education, schools and sports; health and social affairs; regional planning; environment and nature; as well as economy, culture and local government. It supervises around 1,000 schools and exercises municipal and financial oversight over districts and district-free cities within the administrative district.
