About the funder
The Episcopal Foundation "Help for Mother and Child" is a legal foundation under civil law based in Aachen. It was established in 2002 by the Bishop of Aachen and the Caritas Association for the Diocese of Aachen. The foundation supports the network of church counseling services as well as institutions and aid programs for pregnant women, mothers, children, couples, and families in distress within the Diocese of Aachen — in particular the pregnancy counseling centers "Advice and Help" and early support programs. Since 2019, it has also been funding women’s and children’s shelters. Individual case assistance is excluded according to the statutes.

Mission & Vision
"Courage for Life" — The foundation aims to permanently improve the living conditions for children and families in the Diocese of Aachen. Its guiding principle "So that life succeeds" represents support for the diverse measures to protect unborn children as well as timely and competent assistance after birth.
Target groups
Pregnant women, mothers and children, single parents as well as couples and families in economic, social, or psychological distress within the Diocese of Aachen. The foundation supports recipients regardless of religion, nationality, or worldview. Funded are church organizations and institutions (no individuals); the geographical focus is on the area of the Diocese of Aachen (North Rhine-Westphalia).
