About the funder
The Bischof-Johannes-Pohlschneider Foundation is a legally capable ecclesiastical foundation under private law, established on January 2, 2009. As a school foundation within the Diocese of Aachen, it aims to promote Catholic education in the diocese and to support children and young people in their education and upbringing towards a Christian way of life and global responsibility based on the Catholic faith. Under its umbrella are six trust foundations at various Episcopal high schools and schools in the region.

Mission & Vision
The purpose of the foundation is the sustainable promotion of Catholic education in the Diocese of Aachen and the support of young people in their development into responsible individuals. Based on the Christian concept of humanity, it contributes to enabling students to develop their talents and to take responsibility for the community and creation.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at church schools, particularly grammar schools and secondary schools within the Diocese of Aachen, as well as their students and teaching staff. Projects and initiatives that serve educational purposes, Christian value formation, and extracurricular community development are supported.
