About the funder

The Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection is the highest federal authority in Austria responsible for labor market policy, social affairs, public health, long-term care, and consumer protection. Section VII is situated within the area of public health and the healthcare system and is responsible, among other things, for nutrition, vaccination, epidemic control, health promotion, radiation protection, hygiene and quality assurance, as well as international and EU-related health programs. The Ministry funds projects, issues framework guidelines, and supports citizens with advisory and service offerings.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to sustainably strengthen social security and the healthcare system in Austria, promote equal opportunities and health prevention, and protect consumer rights. We are committed to an efficient and solidaristic social and healthcare system that ensures high-quality care, social participation, and consumer protection for all people in Austria – both nationally and in cooperation across the EU.

Target groups

The funding and service offerings are aimed at Austrian citizens of all ages, professionals and institutions in the health and social sectors, non-profit organizations, as well as private and public institutions that implement projects in the fields of labor, social affairs, health, care, and consumer protection or wish to benefit from funding measures. Special target groups include vulnerable populations, children, seniors, people with disabilities, and those interested in EU-funded health programs.
