Mission & Vision

The BMLUK is committed to promoting nature-based solutions and innovative technologies to achieve Austria's climate and environmental protection goals. Our objective is a holistic, coordinated approach in agriculture, forestry, water management, regional development, and environmental policy. We strive for resource-efficient circular economy, climate change adaptation, and the promotion of sustainability and quality of life in both urban and rural areas.

Target groups

The funding programs of the BMLUK target a broad audience: natural and legal persons, companies of all sizes, non-profit organizations, municipalities, cities, as well as religious institutions. Investments are supported in technical equipment (e.g., return machines for empty containers), thermal building renovation, facade greening, land recycling, biodiversity measures, and other climate protection initiatives. The contact point is usually Kommunalkredit Public Consulting (KPC) on behalf of the ministry.
