About the funder
The Brücke/Most Foundation is a non-profit private foundation based in Dresden, dedicated to promoting German-Czech understanding and cooperation. Since the late 1990s, it has organized and financed projects in the fields of cultural encounters, society & history, children & youth worlds, as well as Prague contact. Core offerings include the scholarship program for Czech and Slovak music students at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music Dresden, the traditional house concerts at the Brücke Villa, remembrance trips and encounter seminars, the "Czech-German Cultural Days" festival in Dresden, Ústí nad Labem, and the Elbe/Labe Euroregion, as well as the management of the German-Czech meeting center in Prague. Many initiatives are implemented jointly with the subsidiary Brücke-Institut gGmbH and other partners.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to build bridges between Germany and the Czech Republic through cultural, educational, and historical exchange formats. We promote dialogue among artists, students, youth, and civil society actors, preserve a shared historical awareness, and strengthen a Europe of neighbors through cross-border cooperation and social participation.
Target groups
The funding and educational programs are aimed at Czech and Slovak students, particularly musicians, as well as German and Czech artists, cultural institutions, educators, youth, memory experts, local administrations, and all those interested in engaging in German-Czech exchange, shared history, and cross-border projects.
