About the funder
The Bruno Frey Foundation was endowed by testament by Bruno Frey (1920–2005) with assets exceeding 25 million euros and has been a legal entity since January 30, 2006. The foundation is based in Biberach an der Riß and is established as a civil law foundation. With the proceeds from the foundation's capital, it annually supports cultural and social projects in the city and district of Biberach. In 2025, it distributed approximately 370,000 euros to over 60 initiatives, including music awards, youth projects, social work, and food banks. For 2026, it plans a funding amount of up to 400,000 euros.

Mission & Vision
"With my assets, I wish to promote the cultural and social life – especially of children and young people – in the district of Biberach." This legacy forms the basis for the commitment of the Bruno-Frey-Stiftung: It supports the artistic and cultural education of youth as well as needy individuals in the city and district of Biberach through monetary and in-kind donations, training scholarships, and project funding.

The funding programs are aimed at children and young people in the city and district of Biberach (schools, daycare centers, youth initiatives), cultural projects (music, art, and theater ensembles, competitions, festivals), social institutions and initiatives (street work, food banks, homeless assistance, language support), as well as individuals and organizations from low-income families who require support for education or ongoing living expenses.
