About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Duderstadt was founded in 2004 on the occasion of the 1075th city anniversary. It is an independent foundation under civil law with the aim of sustainably supporting children, young people, and families in Duderstadt through charitable projects. The sponsors and board of trustees, consisting of representatives from the city, the Duderstadt savings bank, and committed citizens, have since supported local education, culture, and youth welfare.

Mission & Vision
"Children are the future" – under this guiding principle, the non-partisan Bürgerstiftung Duderstadt aims to help shape the future of the region by taking responsibility for the local living environment and initiating and supporting sustainable projects for children, youth, and families.

Children, young people, and their families in the former district of Duderstadt are supported. The foundation's work is aimed at initiatives and individuals who plan and implement educational, cultural, and recreational projects for young people.
