About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Eppstein was founded on November 17, 2005, by 49 citizens and businesses of Eppstein and has since gained over 100 additional donors. It operates independently, altruistically, and without political or religious affiliation, and is open to all citizens of Eppstein. Since 2010, it has managed the "Eppstein Fund for the Support of Needy Children and Youth" as a trust foundation. The foundation supports a variety of small and medium-sized projects focusing on children and youth, seniors, culture, and sports, for which no funds are allocated in the municipal budget. Its motto is "Together. Diverse. Independent." and it follows the guiding principle "Citizens for Citizens" through direct support of the local community.

Mission & Vision
The Bürgerstiftung Eppstein is committed to strengthening civic engagement locally and supporting community projects that would not be feasible without municipal funding. It independently and non-profitably promotes initiatives in the areas of children and youth, seniors, culture, and sports, and manages the Eppstein Fund for disadvantaged children and adolescents. Independent of political and religious affiliations, it aims to involve all residents of Eppstein and contribute sustainably to the quality of life in the city.
