About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung für den Landkreis Verden was founded in August 2010 by twelve initiators and is a fiduciary foundation under the umbrella of the Kreissparkasse Verden Foundation. The foundation's goal is to support charitable projects county-wide in areas such as child and youth development, sports, arts and culture, local heritage preservation, and animal protection. Since its inception, the Bürgerstiftung has implemented numerous initiatives, including around 30 spring rockers for children's playgrounds and many "benches at favorite places."

Mission & Vision
As a foundation by citizens for citizens, the Bürgerstiftung für den Landkreis Verden sees itself as a driving force for civic engagement and the common good. Together with the residents and businesses of the district, it takes responsibility for a vibrant, supportive region and gives good ideas strong backing.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at all citizens as well as non-profit initiatives in the district of Verden. They support projects and associations engaged in the fields of child and youth development, sports, arts and culture, heritage preservation, or animal protection. Individuals and groups with innovative, community-oriented projects are invited to submit funding applications.
