Bürgerstiftung Ganderkesee

For over fifteen years, the BürgerStiftung Ganderkesee has contributed to making Ganderkesee a livable community and fostering its development for the benefit of all citizens. It brings together people who actively engage as founders, donors, or volunteers in a variety of projects. The supported areas include, among others, family-friendliness (e.g., music project at Lange Straße elementary school), education for all (e.g., community breakfast on the Day of Open Society), and the preservation of rural structures (e.g., clothing swap parties).

The BürgerStiftung Ganderkesee aims to contribute to making Ganderkesee a livable community and to sustainably develop it for the benefit of its citizens. It consolidates financial resources, know-how, contacts, and voluntary engagement to promote ideas and pilot projects in the areas of family-friendliness, education for all, and the preservation of rural structures. In doing so, it relies on cooperation with local and regional partners and on fostering civic spirit through active participation.

The activities of the BürgerStiftung are aimed at all citizens of the municipality of Ganderkesee. Target groups include private donors and benefactors who provide financial resources; associations, initiatives, and institutions that implement projects in the fields of education, family-friendliness, and village preservation; volunteers who contribute material and time resources to community projects through their commitment; as well as especially older people, families, and children who directly benefit from various projects.
