The Bürgerstiftung Kammerstein is a legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Kammerstein. It was established in 2016 by citizens, businesses, and the municipality of Kammerstein. Its purpose is to promote civic cooperation within the Kammerstein community in the areas recognized as charitable: welfare, arts and culture, education and upbringing, youth and senior work, sports, environmental and nature conservation, international encounters, peace work, church activities, as well as customs and heritage preservation. The foundation achieves its objectives through its own events, financial and material support of projects, cooperation with other institutions, establishment and equipping of facilities, as well as publications and research funding. It has an endowment capital of €125,000 and primarily supports projects with model and exemplary character and sustainable impact.
