Bürgerstiftung Maintal

The Bürgerstiftung Maintal is a legally recognized, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Maintal (Hesse). Independent of economic or political institutions, it has been promoting civic engagement locally since 2008. Through endowments, donations, and voluntary work, the foundation realizes a wide range of purposes: including youth and elderly care, arts and culture, nature and landscape conservation, sports, local heritage preservation, as well as tolerance and democracy education. The foundation supports both cooperative projects with Maintal clubs, institutions, interest groups, and cultural creators, as well as its own initiatives such as the Maintal calendar and numerous educational and social projects.

Together with committed citizens, we aim to sustainably enhance the quality of life in Maintal. Our goal is to strengthen forms of civic engagement and provide assistance for self-help. We operate independently, as a non-profit, and support projects that demonstrate sustainable impact and improve social cohesion locally.

The funding programs of the Bürgerstiftung Maintal are aimed at residents of Maintal, associations, institutions, cultural creators, and interest groups who wish to implement their projects with a sense of communal responsibility. Support is particularly provided for new initiatives and cooperative projects with a high level of voluntary participation that benefit as many residents of Maintal as possible.
