Since 2005, numerous people have been committed to the Bürgerstiftung Neukölln, supporting the diverse potentials of the district. Their shared vision is a lovable and livable Neukölln, where all residents actively shape their neighborhood and can successfully develop. To achieve this, the foundation builds connecting bridges within the Neukölln community and advocates for respectful coexistence on equal footing. It promotes cultural and idealistic initiatives in the district to enable social participation. Through its children and youth projects, it champions fair educational opportunities regardless of social background. The Bürgerstiftung operates independently and non-partisan, thriving on the dedication of many volunteers and donors.
