About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Oberndorf am Neckar is an independent, non-profit foundation that has been jointly supported by committed citizens since its establishment in 2002. It promotes regional projects and initiatives that do not fall within the scope of state or municipal responsibilities. With an endowment capital of €433,680.42 (as of 31.12.2018), it supports, among other things, youth and elderly care, sports and health, education, upbringing, arts and culture, as well as environmental and nature conservation. In working groups and round tables, it develops its own projects (e.g., Christmas Star, Reading Club, Citizens' Breakfast) and additionally funds external initiatives, such as the Youth Fund or the "Narr mit Herz" campaign.

"Together, inspiring good!" – The Bürgerstiftung Oberndorf am Neckar activates civic engagement and sustainably supports projects that strengthen the common good. It supports self-initiated efforts with a high level of volunteer commitment, creates a platform for shared responsibility, and especially encourages young people to develop self-confidence and hope for the future.
Target groups
