About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Pfalz was founded on November 18, 2005, in the Electoral Palace Mainz by twelve committed citizens. Motivated by the desire to preserve and actively shape the quality of life and charm of the Palatinate, the foundation supports projects in the areas of education, village development, and regional economy. It brings people together, develops innovative solutions for social challenges, and creates spaces where responsibility for the common good is embraced.

Mission & Vision
The Bürgerstiftung Pfalz is committed to strengthening local engagement and shaping the Palatinate region for the future. It promotes civic participation, educational opportunities, and village initiatives, and supports economic projects that advance regional cohesion and sustainable development.
Target groups
The funding is aimed at citizens as well as initiatives and institutions in the Palatinate. Special target groups include pupils at general education schools, villages and village foundations that shape their own future processes, as well as volunteer associations and initiatives that wish to implement community-oriented projects in the areas of education, village development, and regional economic activity.
