The Bürgerstiftung St. Cornelius Heumar is a legally capable ecclesiastical foundation under civil law, established in October 2007 by the Catholic parish of St. Cornelius Heumar as the successor to the Archdiocese of Cologne. It exclusively pursues charitable and ecclesiastical purposes in accordance with the German Fiscal Code. Its primary mission is to promote Catholic work with children, youth, education, and culture, as well as charitable projects within the pastoral area of the St. Cornelius Heumar parish. Since its founding, the foundation has implemented, among other initiatives, the expansion of childcare for children under three, the renovation of the daycare center's exterior facade, the creation of a water playground, and the procurement of new age-appropriate play equipment.

The Bürgerstiftung St. Cornelius Heumar is committed to sustainably promoting the religious, social, and cultural life in the Rath/Heumar district. Our goal is to provide children, youth, and families of the St. Cornelius Heumar parish with a place of security and education, to meet the demand for care and educational services, and to advance charitable initiatives.
