About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Tübingen is a politically and denominationally independent community foundation, initiated since its founding in 2001 by around 30 committed citizens and now counting over 90 donors. It supports projects in Tübingen ideologically and financially in the fields of social affairs, culture and education, sports, as well as nature and environmental protection. Each year, it awards the Bürgerstiftung Prize, endowed with €10,000, and the Volunteer Award (€2,000) to honor outstanding civic engagement.

Mission & Vision
TOGETHER FOR TÜBINGEN – The Bürgerstiftung Tübingen offers local citizens and businesses the opportunity to strengthen community life in their city through financial contributions and voluntary engagement. Our goal is to promote civic initiatives, initiate sustainable projects, and make Tübingen a more livable place.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Bürgerstiftung Tübingen are aimed at citizens, associations, initiatives, and other non-profit organizations in Tübingen. Projects that create a sustainable societal added value are supported, for example in the social sector, culture and education, sports, or nature and environmental protection.
