Bürgerstiftung Wasserburg

The Bürgerstiftung Wasserburg (Lake Constance) is a legally recognized public foundation under civil law, accredited by the Government of Swabia since April 30, 2004. For over 20 years, it has been socially and culturally active in the community of Wasserburg (Lake Constance), promoting voluntary engagement, assistance for those in need, and charitable projects from schools, churches, and local associations. The activities are primarily financed through income from the foundation's capital as well as proceeds from private donations and volunteer-run events.

The Bürgerstiftung Wasserburg aims to motivate citizens to take active co-responsibility in the community. With a minimum foundation capital of €50,000 and continuous endowments, it strengthens its capacity to promote the common good. It relies on transparency, qualified project work (seal of quality from the Federal Association of German Foundations), and oversight by the foundation board, foundation council, and the relevant supervisory authorities.

The funding programs are aimed at the residents of the municipality of Wasserburg (Lake Constance), particularly at volunteers and community initiatives, social institutions and individuals in need, as well as daycare centers, primary schools, and senior homes. In addition, cultural and sports clubs as well as church institutions are supported.
