Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA)

The Federal Employment Agency (BA) is a federal public-law corporation with self-administration. It is responsible for job placement, career counseling, and the payment of unemployment benefits, as well as numerous funding and support programs for individuals, companies, and institutions. The BA operates employment agencies, regional directorates, and the central administration in Nuremberg throughout Germany. Through statistical analyses and programs, it actively shapes labor market policy in Germany.
