Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA)
About the funder
The Federal Employment Agency (BA) is the central labor market organization in Germany, operating as a federal public-law corporation with self-administration. With over 17,000 employees at approximately 600 locations, it connects people with jobs, mediates skilled workers, pays unemployment benefits, citizen’s income, and child benefits, provides career and further education counseling, and supports companies, among other measures, with integration subsidies, education vouchers, and qualification allowances. As the largest service provider in the German labor market, it makes a significant contribution to social security, equal opportunities, and the securing of skilled labor.

Mission & Vision
We create success, guidance, and security. Our goal is to connect people and work, secure livelihoods, and supply companies with qualified skilled workers. We stand for equal opportunities, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability – in our administration (climate neutrality by 2030) and in all programs.
Target groups
The BA's funding programs are aimed at private individuals (job seekers, unemployed persons, trainees, students, people with disabilities), companies from all sectors (on-site employer service, human resources departments), as well as institutions (family benefits offices, municipalities, vocational training providers). We support job seekers in re-entering the workforce, employees in professional development, and companies in recruiting and developing skilled workers.
