Mission & Vision
The mission of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) is to design migration and asylum procedures in Germany in a legally secure and reliable manner, to provide protection to people, to enable participation and equal opportunities for immigrants through needs-based educational and integration programs, and to create a sound basis for politics and society through research and consultation. In doing so, BAMF promotes a human rights-oriented approach that contributes to social cohesion and mutual understanding.
Target groups
The funding programs and project financing of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) are aimed at organizations and actors in the field of integration, including independent welfare associations, clubs, migrant organizations, public and private educational institutions, as well as municipal and social facilities. Projects that offer language and orientation courses, enable social participation, strengthen intercultural competence, and promote social cohesion are supported.
