Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF)
About the funder
The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) is a subordinate federal authority within the portfolio of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community. It is responsible for conducting asylum procedures in Germany, providing advice and support on immigration law issues, as well as serving as the organizational basis for integration and vocational language promotion. Its central tasks, in addition to processing asylum procedures, include the development and implementation of integration courses (language and orientation courses), migration counseling for adult immigrants, the promotion of projects and measures for social integration (e.g., AMIF and SOLID co-financing), as well as the support of special programs such as the German Islam Conference. To this end, BAMF cooperates with public and private providers, associations, municipalities, and civil society actors.
