Mission & Vision

The mission of BAFA is to secure Germany's economic performance as well as its energy and climate policy objectives. Through the transparent and reliable implementation of nationwide funding and control programs, BAFA creates investment incentives, strengthens the competitiveness of companies, and contributes to sustainable resource use. Target groups

The funding and service offerings of BAFA are aimed at various target groups: companies (especially small and medium-sized enterprises) at home and abroad that are subject to export controls or operate internationally; owners and planners of residential and non-residential buildings as well as energy consultants who plan investments in efficient building technology and renewable energies; municipalities, cooperatives, and citizen energy companies that wish to implement local energy and climate protection projects; research institutions and networks working on energy- and resource-efficient technologies as well as sustainable raw material supply.
