About the funder
The Department V/A/4 within the Federal Ministry of the Interior serves as the administrative authority for the Home Affairs Funds (AMIF, BMVI, ISF). It acts both as a funding agency and as the Single Point of Contact for EU and international projects in the field of migration and international cooperation. Its core responsibilities include the operational management of migration funding at EU and national levels, contract review and conclusion, continuous monitoring, risk analyses, on-site inspections, execution of funding payments, as well as reporting to the European Commission and other auditing authorities.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to ensure an efficient, transparent, and compliant allocation of funding in the fields of migration and internationalization. We support the implementation of national and European migration strategies, promote international cooperation, and contribute to the targeted, high-quality use of financial resources in accordance with the respective guidelines.
Target groups
The target groups of Division V/A/4 are internal specialist departments of the Federal Ministry of the Interior that implement migration and international projects, as well as external eligible beneficiaries such as Austrian authorities, public bodies, international organizations, NGOs, and other project partners in the fields of migration, asylum, integration, and return. The division provides support in the application, processing, and management of EU and international funding instruments.
